The DDT is excellent for overhead concrete testing Features & Applications: The DDT Concrete Delamination Testing Tool is a non-destructive testing tool to determine the extent of delamination or debonding in concrete, and to test for the possibility of a void beneath tile, masonry, terra-cotta, or other hard surface. It is most reliable when the void is present at a maximum depth of 4-6" from the surface. Current technology to test for the above problems is normally accomplished via two distinct methods; the chain-drag for flat surfaces, and the hammer or other “tool” (metal rod, golf club, etc.) for vertical and overhead surfaces. The Hammer tapping method is combined with the tedious and potentially dangerous repetitive climbing of a ladder in order to reach the overhead areas.
Applications: Concrete slabs, columns, walls, beams, tile surfaces, masonry, etc. Note: Crayon not included |
